Sabine Close

Sabine is a freshman at UC Davis majoring in History and rides on their D1 NCEA equestrian team. Sabine’s research focuses on developing equine accelerometer sensors, winning 1st place in CA and 4th internationally. In her equestrian pursuits, she has won Champion in the R. W. Mutch Equitation Championship, CPHA Junior Medal Final, and the NorCal 3’6″ Medal Final and Res. Champion in the Talent Search Finals West.
Iliana Close

Iliana is a junior at Stanford University majoring in Human Biology and rides on their IHSA team. Iliana’s research focuses on developing machine learning algorithms to predict neurodegenerative disease and methodologies to reduce pediatric respiratory distress. In her equestrian pursuits, she has qualified twice for both IEA Nationals and CCEF, placing 1st and 3rd.
Sigrid Elschot

Sigrid is a professor of aerospace engineering at Stanford University and advisor at E2MC. She leverages her expertise in signal processing, RF propagation and computer vision to analyze and interpret sensor data. Sigrid loves being a mom to two fearless equestrians – even if she herself prefers her horsepower under the hood.
